Finance Analyst 1 Postion summary:

Analyst 1 serves as a member of the EG Finance Team and is responsible for in-country Finance Support to the EG departments by performing finance and accounting duties such as month-end close, cost reviewing and analysis, accruals, allocations, forecasts, bank activities, office petty cash administration, receivables, and withholding tax reports.  In addition, this position acts as a Hess EG reference point for all matters related to delegation of authority.

Analyst 1 is also responsible for providing analytical and documentary support to the Managers in format that will facilitate decision making.

Perform Monthly Bank Account Reconciliations

Perform Monthly Salary Advance Reconciliations

Perform Monthly Accounts Receivables Reconciliations.

Prepare Monthly Accounting Accrual Reports for Hess EG

Prepare Monthly Cost Allocation worksheets for Logistics Cost Centers:
Shore Bases, Boats, Helicopters, Fixed Wing Aircraft

 

 

Monthly Financial Reports

  •  

Prepare Local Content Reports

  •  

Support Commitment Reporting

  •  

Support Commercial Analysis by Identifying EG business improvement opportunities and prepare commercial analysis and recommendations that result in adding value to the business

 

 

Budgeting and Budget Analysis

  •  

Generate Monthly Cost Center Reports

  •  

Update Budget Tracking Spreadsheets

  •  

Prepare Departmental Budget Variance Analysis

  •  

Analyze Costs and Prepare Annual Departmental Budgets

 

 

Monthly Close Process

  •  

Support High Level G&A Variance Summary to Houston by updating all in-country Actual, Budget and Forecast values to Houston

  •  

Prepare Monthly AFE Report

  •  

Revise Coding for A/R and A/P

  •  

Be proficient in utilizing Hyperion for Support month end Management meeting reports by updating values in Budget Variance Detail Reports due on WD7

Qualifications

Education, Training & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related Business Administration field is required
  • Experience

    • 1 - 2 years of work experience in an office environment
    • Experience with SAP is a plus
