POSITION SUMMARY
 

The position will work closely with the broader Infrastructure & Security team to improve all aspects of I.T. Service Delivery, including (but not restricted to) Audio Visual (AV), hardware, help desk and desk side. 

 

They will investigate and promote best practices within the support function by collaboratively working with our external business partners as well in-house application & Infrastructure teams under the guidance of the I.T. Service Delivery manager.  Strong hands on technical experience is a must in order to be successful in this role.  Superior customer facing skills as well as multi-tasking in a fast paced dynamic environment are required in order to be successful in this role.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
 

Provide technical expertise in the architecture, repair, maintenance and support of all aspects of video conferencing (VC) including:

  • Defining architectural standards in a Polycom Skype for Business VC environment.
  • VC troubleshooting & follow through on escalation of trouble incidents occurring during calls.
  • End user training.
  • Call setup (limited).
  • Successful partnership with AV supplier is a must.

 

Partner with desk side to trouble shoot and enhance end user experience.

  • Must have a deep understanding of desktop technologies and their application across a number of operating environments relevant to the Exploration and Production industry.
  • Must have experience in hardware including desktops, laptops, printers, along with the Microsoft Suite of Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Extensive knowledge of iPhone Technology.

 

Successfully partner with domestic and international I.T. asset functions to ensure they are receiving adequate levels of support and feel embedded as part of I.T. organization.

  • Excellent communication and customer facing skills.
  • Excellent problem solving abilities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS
 

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with Audio Visual Video Conferencing technology in a Polycom Skype for Business environment.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of working in an energetic team environment of both employees and contractors (onsite and offshore).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of working with senior level management (Director, VP and SVP).

 

Education, Training & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT, Engineering or closely related technical field is strongly desired (or equavalent work experience); advanced degree is a plus
