POSITION SUMMARY:

      This Specialist position is a regulatory compliance assurance role responsible for supporting ND Operations.  This includes oversight for the ND LDAR program as required by the ND DoH.  The position works closely with North Dakota personnel, specifically Production Area Leads and MRI (Work Material Flow and Break-in) and their associated employees to ensure efficient execution of the ND LDAR program.  This Specialist collaborates closely with the other compliance assurance field-based Specialists and the Air Specialist to develop and standardize the team’s LDAR workflow processes and identify opportunities for program improvement.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Represent Hess – establish and maintain relationships of integrity and trust with all Regulatory agencies
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and standardize Lean workflow processes
  • Collaborate with field personnel to ensure efficient execution of the ND LDAR program
  • Follow up on corrective actions to verify implementation and compliance
  • Facilitate discussion of work executed, field observations, and program improvements at daily Operations meeting
  • Entry of SAP notifications as needed

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

  • Specific knowledge of Regulatory requirements and practices including but not limited to NDIC, BLM, EPA, and ND DoH
  • Understand and comply with all EHS policies and procedures
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
  • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Ability to supervise and influence 3rd party contractors
  • Ability to lead and direct others to ensure regulatory compliance within field operations
  • Strong attention to detail

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • College degree or relevant experience
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance – preferably in North Dakota
  • Knowledge of oil and gas field operations
