Job Description:  Manage a yearly budget of $16,000,000; perform 8 field visits per month; supervise 3-5 direct employees (dispatchers) on a daily basis, up to 10 vendor WMF units (40 employees); availability by phone 7 days/week; resolve problems arising during the weekend in regards to WMF with all 10 area work teams, MR&I group through Process Specialists, senior reliability operators, managers, engineers, and dispatchers; identify lean opportunities and process improvements in all aspects of upstream business and identify opportunities for OPEX and CAPEX cost savings; weekly and monthly WMF performance meetings to discuss challenges, implement countermeasures and improvement plans; create, teach, and provide guidance around problem solving A3’s on a daily basis; develop processes and associated metrics and key performance indicators to help customer understand impact of created processes on safety, quality, delivery, and cost; supervise and coordinate successful creation and implementation of standard operating procedures/best practices in all aspects of upstream E&P business in North Dakota for Hess; manage hand over expectations of completed WMF projects through existing handover Standard Operating Procedures; modify and improve handover process as opportunities are identified; coordinate with Area Team Production and Process Engineers to write and improve WMF procedures; participate and be a leader in HESS ND Bakken short-term and long-term water disposal strategy; manage all fluid hauling truck requirements on base operations side to effectively provide resources to manage produced water and solids disposal; coordinate and work with Global Supply Chain Management to create, implement, and manage effectively vendor contracts around WMF projects; identify repetitive work for standardization and integration into WMF;  design leader standard work and standard work procedures as well as work procedures for all direct reports and WMF personnel; participate and be member of industry groups in the area (American Petroleum Institute [API] or similar) to improve relationship with community and further Hess’ good standing with our partners, landowners, and communities in ND.

 

Requirements: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent in Petroleum, Mechanical or Civil Engineering and 10 years of experience in the job offered or in a related position in completions or production operations including flowback operations, wellview 9.0, SPS planning tools and ODR production reporting.

In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, the employer will accept an additional 2 years of experience in completions or production operations including flowback operations, WellView 9.0, SPS planning tools and ODR production reporting.
