POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Craft Logistics Specialist supports the Offshore Craft Technicians and the Senior Logistics Specialist according to the priorities established by the Asset and conducts assurance on all the activities.

 
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • First point escalation for offshore troubleshooting and problem solving within discipline. Function as a subject matter expert for their specific craft.
  • Interfaces and communicates closely with Operations and Reliability Engineering with respect to equipment failures and repairs, recommended sparing, maintenance strategies and routines.
  • Job owner and primary vendor interface for onshore coordination and execution of major repair/overhauls. Manages teardowns and repairs of equipment in vendor shops.
  • Provides audit and technical QC of major maintenance and repairs as well as inventory and preservation of spare parts, providing onsite support of critical activities as needed.
  • Provides input into the Integrated Activity Schedule (IAS) and participates in coverage of: safety hot spots, regulatory hot spots, production impact activities, any drilling or workover activities, subsea activities and any SIMOPS activities coming up on the IAS schedule
  • Promote effective teamwork between the onshore and offshore teams and between all crews and work parties
  • Provide input and feedback to ensure quality of SAP master data to standards (equipment, job plans, BOMs) 
  • Support Autonomous Maintenance process to improve PMs and equipment performance
  • Adhere to LEAN work management processes to ensure workflows are efficient and waste is eliminated (i.e. SAP Notifications, etc.) and prioritize customer engagement through focused GEMBA visits.

 
QUALIFICATIONS 

 

Experience

  • 10 years production operations experience required. 15+ years preferred.
  • Offshore Deepwater experience preferred, but Onshore equivalent would be considered.
  • Specific equipment knowledge in rotating equipment operation and maintenance (i.e. turbines, compressors, pumps) as well as associated process systems for offshore production.

 

Competencies

  • Achieve, implement and comply with GOM competency requirements of Craft Logistics Specialist 
  • Comply with and meet HESS Corporation and regulatory competence requirements through completion 
  • Offshore production experience
  • Responsible for Mechanic and Instrument/Automation Technician competency development / training 
  • Monitor contractor performance and competency to deliver improvements in efficient execution of work
  • Equipment subject matter experts (resources may have primary and secondary responsibilities split between areas below): 
    • Instrument/Automation: (Rockwell Automation/PLCs, Hart protocol, radars, pressure/temperature transmitters, SCADA systems, drives & motors, pneumatic and liquid instrumentation systems, fire and gas analyzers)
    • Rotating/Mechanical: Solar, Dresser Rand, Sulzer, Compression, Pumps, VRUs, Combustion Engines, etc.
    • Process/Operations: Gas/Oil/Water Processing, Gas Dehydration, Water Treatment for Cooling, Disposal, and Injection, etc.
  • Demonstrate a high level of knowledge and understanding of Personal and Process Safety 
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP or other computerized maintenance management systems
  • Planning, scheduling, and the ability to oversee work
