POSITION SUMMARY
The role requires championing Production Engineering Excellence in Hess, which is underpinned by EHS, Integrity, Reliability, Operability, Asset Optimization and profitability. The primary area of focus will be Asset Optimization. The Production Engineer has additional responsibilities in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People (SQDCP).

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The core function of Production Engineers (PE) is to optimize production and maximize profitability.  
  • Job deliverables include:
    • Production optimization (PO)
    • Supporting development projects
    • Modeling well operating limits and integrated system capacities
    • Analyzing the performance of existing and planned wells, gathering systems and facilities to ensure optimum profitable production delivery from Hess’ assets 
  • This role also encompasses project management for well or facility interventions; and seeks to optimize production by providing engineering, technical, operational, and economic inputs
  • The position will liaise with asset Reliability/Operations Engineers, Reservoir Engineers, Completions Engineers, Facility Engineers, and Operations
  • The position requires effective and energetic collaboration and consensus building  
  • The nature of work can be brownfield or greenfield and the assets can be Hess-operated or operated by others (OBO)

 

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience 

  • Minimum 15+ years of E&P production engineering experience - offshore and unconventional, including: 
    • Integrated production and capacity modeling, stimulation, chemical programs, artificial lift design/ optimization, well optimization/envelope determination
    • Demonstrated coaching, mentoring, and consensus building skills
    • Application of data analytics

 

Education, Training & Certifications

  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Petroleum Engineering preferred
