POSITION SUMMARY

 

The position is responsible for supporting the Global Supply Chain related Enterprise Resource Planning solutions, specifically SAP and Ariba with a small portfolio of additional products that compliment business functions within the company. The candidate will demonstrate excellent business process knowledge across the Source to Pay process chain including Master Data and will work directly with the Global Supply Chain customers daily in the capacity of business process & systems advisor. The candidate will participate in the business requirements gathering, Process and value stream mapping, design, development, implementation and integration of ERP centric solutions. The portfolio includes, but is not limited to SAP Warehousing and Logistics, Contracts and Procurement, Remote Logistics Management, Accounts Payable, Vertex, e-Commerce, Master Data Governance and Supplier Integration Management. Responsibilities in support of the business include participation in defining, modifying, and creating processes that enhances the business’ ability to work, coupled with designing/redesigning and enhancing current solutions as needed. A focus on automation and simplification is key.  Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting & assisting with security, maintenance, project management, and cross-training team members.  Knowledge of integrations between SAP and other system using various middleware such as BizTalk and SAP Pi technology would be beneficial. 

 

The candidate will provide expertise regarding the functional design of SAP and its integrated nature with the other modules associated with Materials Management, such as Enterprise Asset Management and Finance. They will determine functional specifications, plan, design, and develop, the most complex and business critical ERP solutions, utilizing appropriate software engineering processes either with a broader SAP team. The incumbent will assist with day to day support problems where required.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Ongoing system design and development:

  • Partner with business leaders and business process owners
  • Functional specification development, testing and deployment as required
  • Evaluate and develop ERP solutions to solve business challenges
  • Develop appropriate specifications and documentation
  • Follow robust change management processes
  • Execute testing and implementation plans
  • Create systems documentation

 

Provide system IT application support:

  • System upgrades
  • Defect/issue resolution
  • Continuous improvement
  • Automation and Simplification

 

Serve as the SAP Supply Chain ERP knowledge expert:

  • Build relationships with the business users to ensure delivery of robust system solutions for our business processes
  • Provide End-user support
  • Provide meaningful reporting solutions
  • Have experience with Value Stream Mapping & Documentation

 

Collaboration and Build Partnerships:

  • Liaise closely with other ERP functional consultants, ISP and the broader IT groups to ensure enterprise architecture principles, technology standards and process best practices are observed, promoted and upheld
  • Help retain the reputation of the IT organization as a value-added service to the business
  • Develop, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to build trust and co-operation and become a trusted advisor

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in SAP ERP MM support & development
  • Strong understanding of SAP Supply Chain Business Processes and Solutions
  • Strong Accounts Payable and eCommerce knowledge would be advantageous
  • Experience with one or more of the following SAP modules would be highly regarded, but not required: Sales and Distribution, Warehouse Management, Enterprise Asset Management, Basic Finance, Vertex and Mobility Products
  • Ability to effectively work with all levels of management and develop effective working relationships in a cross-cultural environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to produce sound solutions.
  • Full understanding of proper IT change controls and management
  • Excellent written and verbal, communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively

 

Education, Training & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Certification in SAP Materials Management is desired
  • Knowledge of ABAP programming language, BADI’s and BAPI’s is a plus
