Position Summary:                                       

Hess Corporation seeks a motivated college student for a paid internship to support the company’s internal communications and charitable community activities. In this position, the intern will gain hands-on experience working as part of highly skilled and fast-paced corporate communications team.

 

Successful applicants for this position must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment.

 

Position Description:

Work with members of the Hess Communications team on a variety of activities and initiatives to build the company’s reputation and engagement with employees, community members and other stakeholders, including:

  • Assisting in the execution of communications plans for key company initiatives and programs such a wellness, technology, and recognition   
  • Developing and posting graphics on the company’s internal communications channels: intranet, Workplace, and digital signage network
  • Helping identify and develop stories that illuminate important developments across the company
  • Supporting the implementation of Hess Force volunteer charity events and activities in the community
  • Compiling impact summaries for the function’s quarterly metrics and measures dashboard
  • Tracking external awards and advertising schedules
  • Managing the inventory of company giveaways and merchandise
  • Coding expenses to designated budget cost centers

 

Qualifications:

  • Completed at least three semesters into a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field.
  • Strong writing skills
  • Solid organizational skills with good follow-through and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and poise to work effectively in a corporate environment
  • Able to meet deadlines while juggling multiple assignments.
  • Experience supporting marketing, communications, event management or related fields a plus.

 

Time Allocation:
This part-time position can accommodate a flexible schedule, and hours can vary by semester.
