POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), this role will be primarily responsible for executing the DEI strategy. The role will assist in defining and implementing effective best practices that embed diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) into the Hess culture and associated processes. In partnership with the Head of DEI, this role will be responsible for managing and monitoring DEI programs, processes and practices that create an exceptional employee experience and drive a high performing and inclusive culture.

 

The successful candidate must employ a data driven approach, with creativity and experience to execute strategies and change management that supports an inclusive culture where all employees are empowered, respected and able to achieve their full potential. 

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Aid in executing the DEI strategy 
  • Develop, manage and monitor functional DEI action plans
  • Manage and deliver high quality, business focused DEI programs and projects in an effective and timely manner within budget
  • Act as a liaison to execute DEI initiatives and programs through strong partnerships across the company
  • Research and benchmark DEI best practices to develop innovative DEI solutions that support the DEI strategy, address business needs and drive business results 
  • Act as a DEI consultant to infuse DEI into key HR functions including talent acquisition, talent management, learning and development, performance management, succession, employee engagement and retention, talent practices and policies, compensation, and benefits
  • Provide oversight and coaching to DEI groups including the DEI Council and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) through effective leadership, programming, and governance 
  • Provide oversight and manage enterprise DEI events through partnerships with ERGs, the business, corporate communications, and others
  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop DEI reports and briefings including analyzing results and regularly communicating progress
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive portfolio of relationships among local, regional, and national external diversity-related organizations to develop strategic partnerships
  • Promote DEI brand to community, customers, industry partners and educational entities
  • Partner with key stakeholders and business partners to ensure EEO and Affirmative Action compliance

 

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of business experience with a preference for HR or Program and Project Management experience
  • Functional knowledge of DEI and cultural awareness
  • Program or project management experience with a demonstrated ability to multi-task
  • Strong change management capability
  • Proven track record of facilitating enterprise-level initiatives
  • Exceptional communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Diplomatic and ability to build and manage relationships at all levels
  • High proficiency in MS Office/Office 365

Preferred Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years progressive experience developing and leading DEI programs 
  • SHRM or DEI certification
  • Strong technical and automation skills with advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and data visualization techniques

Education, Training & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
