POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of a multidiscipline team, the Reliability Operator manages the delivery of production targets through competent operation and maintenance of oil and gas production sites. The Reliability Operator is self-motivated, managed, and engaged in the planning process. They demonstrate to peers and the Operations Lead ownership of the facility equipment and systems. The role assures minimum impact on the facility operations and demonstrates good environmental stewardship to assist with the delivery of production targets and maintain compliance with Group Practice as defined in Hess Operational Excellence Expectations. The Reliability Operator also provides key oversight, operation, and troubleshooting using LEAN tools of Pumping units, ESP's, separation vessels, storage tanks, piping, flares, etc. found on production sites. The work location for this position is Keene, ND. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Performs equipment surveillance, autonomous maintenance, and first-level response
• Operates equipment and understands process controls & flow (start up, shut down)
• Communicates work activities accurately in the system (shift changes, log books, SAP follow-ups)
• Responsible for executing continuous improvement activities and providing feedback through appropriate channels
• Facilitation of safe work permitting processes
• Maintains qualifications for DOT regulated line operations
• Clearly communicates and works with contractors to comply with applicable Hess policies and procedures
• Complies with all Hess Rules and guidance (energy isolation, land transportation, EHS)
• Coaches on safety aspects of the job and work location
• Safe management of field compressor stations
• Other key contributions from this position are to maintain our Trend, DET and SAP programs

Experience/Skills        

• Industrial / Oilfield experience
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft)
• Mechanical aptitude
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of safety requirements and practices

Education/Training      

• High school diploma or equivalent required
