HYBRID ELIGIBILITY

This position works a hybrid schedule, spending time remotely and in the office in Keene, ND. The current hybrid schedule provides flexibility to collaborate in the office Tuesdays through Thursdays and work from home Mondays and Fridays. With our 9/80 feature you get time off every other Friday when you work at least 80 hours over the preceding nine days.

Position Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor at Hess Corporation will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation and management of a materials warehouse located in Keene, ND and reports to the Hess Warehouse Manager. This role involves coordinating daily warehouse activities, ensuring accurate inventory control, and implementing safety and compliance measures. The Warehouse Supervisor will lead a team of warehouse personnel also based in Keene, ND, optimizing workflows and inventory management practices to support company goals. Key duties include managing warehouse operations, maintaining accurate inventory records, promoting a safe working environment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive experience in inventory management, experience with daily warehouse operations, and the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations at the Keene Warehouse, ensuring efficient workflows and timely completion of tasks.
  • Coordinate with procurement team to manage inventory levels, stocking strategies, Work Order fulfillment, will call, and logistics.
  • Implement and monitor best practices for warehouse operations and collaborate with the Tioga Warehouse to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity.
  • Develop and execute inventory control procedures to minimize losses and discrepancies.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions to promote a safe working environment.
  • Maintain compliance with environmental regulations and industry best practices.
  • Manage and mentor a team of warehouse personnel, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, addressing any personnel issues promptly and effectively.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding warehouse operations.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on inventory status, operational performance, and any issues or challenges.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase overall productivity.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices, incorporating new technologies and methodologies as appropriate.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute for education.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a similar supply chain role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles, logistics, and safety regulations.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP or alternative inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Flexibility to travel between the Keene Warehouse and Tioga Warehouse locations as needed.
