POSITION SUMMARY

Hess’ Operational Technology and Automation department is searching for interns to join our team in summer 2025! Over the course of our 12 week program, interns will work in the MR&I Operational Technology/Cyber Security, Industrial Control Systems, or Field Automation Teams supporting technology driven special projects.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Interns will work alongside a designated MR&I Support Services mentor who will facilitate the opportunity to work on projects that will contribute to your team’s success and the bottom line of the company. Some examples of intern projects include:

  • Network Security Remediation (Operational Technology)
  • Optimization of Asset Repositories, remote access servers, and network visualization software suites (Field Automation)
  • Cyber Security Project Management Initiatives (Cyber Security)

 

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience

  • Demonstrate leadership skills with a focus on business application
  • Possess a strong sense of ethics and high integrity
  • Comfortable speaking up and asking questions
  • An eye for detail, strong sense of order and organizational skills
  • Desire to work in Oil & Gas industry
  • Desire to develop an advanced understanding of Field Automation, Industrial Controls and/or Cybersecurity
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and in groups
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

 

Education, Training & Certifications

  • Must be currently working towards a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Industrial Automation, or like studies
  • Previous work or internship experience is preferred
