HYBRID ELIGIBILITY

This position works a hybrid schedule, spending time remotely and in the office in Minot, ND. The current hybrid schedule provides flexibility to collaborate in the office Tuesdays through Thursdays and work from home Mondays and Fridays. With our 9/80 feature you get time off every other Friday when you work at least 80 hours over the preceding nine days.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for supporting cross functional operations in North Dakota as a Senior Regulatory Analyst.  Working closely with the Infrastructure Planning and Design team, Wells and Pads (Operations), and external agencies, the position is primarily responsible for submitting regulatory sundries and reports, tracking regulatory actions to closure, and ensuring that Hess is operating in a compliant manner. These tasks will require frequent communications with multiple internal customers and the NDIC, BLM, and other state and federal agencies.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Represent Hess – establish and maintain relationships of integrity and trust with external regulatory agencies.
  • Submit sundries and forms to agencies as required to support new well delivery and ongoing well operations.
  • Work closely with Hess regulatory program leads to support major programs including SPCC (spill prevention), SWPPP (storm water management), and Asset Retirement  
  • Submit required periodic reporting to agencies as required.  
  • Maintain current knowledge of NDIC, BLM, and other relevant regulations. Develop strategies and compliance plans for new and emerging regulations.
  • Work with internal and external partners to track and resolve agency grievance cases.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • College degree or relevant experience
  • Prefer 2 years of regulatory compliance experience- preferably in North Dakota.
