POSITION SUMMARY

 

This position will be based in the Hess Tioga, ND, office. This position is responsible for managing the Integrity program covering Base Production operations, mid-stream gathering and the Tioga Gas Processing Plant.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Responsible for ensuring the embedment of and regular review and audit of integrity management processes and activities in accordance with the company’s Production Excellence Integrity Expectations and associated guidelines.
  • Asset integrity focal point for the Engineering group and in supporting our internal customer’s as required.
  • Responsible for the high level planning and co-ordination of Integrity activities and KPI measurement and review.
  • Responsible for Integrity management compliance as defined by regulatory, company and industry codes of practice, standards, and policies.
  • Responsible to ensure the Integrity team are able to execute their duties in a timely manner through proactive supervision, highlighting issues, needs and trends, and supporting strategic development planning activities.
  • Local technical authority for integrity management specifically relating to:
    • Integrity management process.
    • Process and pressure system integrity; in particular Pressure vessels, Tanks, Piping, and Relief devices.
    • Structural integrity.
  • Responsible for the management of the facility ICE (Integrity Critical Element) program, specifically:
    • ICE register upkeep and audit.
    • Criticality assessment review and criticality assignments.
    • Collation, publication, and monitoring of Integrity related metrics.
  • Responsible for ensuring changes to integrity management strategy, practices, procedures, and program documentation are managed via the company MOC system and reflected in the document management system.
  • Responsible for ensuring that changes to asset infrastructure arising from integrity programs are managed via the Asset MOC system.
  • Responsible for integrity review and comment in collaboration with engineering changes within the asset MOC system.
  • Participant in failure investigations relating to facility integrity, process safety issues.
  • Coordinates Integrity budgetary forecast information and manages the annual Integrity program budget.
  • Champions the ownership, embedment and adherence to processes, polices, and effective use of tools related to Integrity.
  • Champions and supervises the performance and development of the Integrity team members.

 

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

 

  • Solid understanding of US Onshore E&P industry standards, regulations, and recommended practices.
  • Working familiarity of Fitness-for-service codes and recommended practices, and general corrosion failure mechanisms, for Pressure vessels, tanks, piping, and pressure relief devices.
  • Working familiarity of design and construction codes and recommended practices for Pressure vessels, tanks, piping, and pressure relief devices.
  • Working familiarity of Repair management strategies and welding procedures.
  • Working familiarity of Corrosion mechanisms and inspection management strategies.
  • Working familiarity of Quality control/assurance processes.
  • Working familiarity of NDE inspection techniques and certification requirements.
  • Working knowledge of equipment criticality assessments.
  • Working knowledge of root cause failure analysis.
  • Highly motivated self-starter willing to accept responsibility and accountability.
  • Process and Personal safety focused.
  • Teamwork and leadership – demonstrated ability to lead teams and work effectively within teams.
  • Communication – ability to communicate clearly and concisely on engineering related issues in written and verbal formats. Comfortable communicating to management, direct reports and peers.
  • Familiar with common leadership traits and behaviors and prepared to adopt company defined values and leadership competencies.
  • Familiar with continuous improvement mental models such as Lean, and building customer-supplier relationships.
  • Standard computer literacy.
  • Holds current driving license.

 

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

 

  • Engineering related technical degree – preferably Mechanical (PE registration/ Chartered Engineer an advantage)
  • 10+ years’ experience of oil and gas process facility integrity management, maintenance and repair.
  • 5+ years’ experience of plant inspection on oil and gas production facilities.
  • Understanding of planning and scheduling principles and documenting of maintenance work scopes.
  • Detailed knowledge and demonstrated use of a Mechanical Integrity software inspection database.
