  • Works closely with the Competency Technician to ensure that program participants are provided with the appropriate instruction.
  • Leads by example, working to raise participants’ awareness of safety in work activities.
  • Provides participants with directions and feedback on the completion of work activities.
  • Advocate of competency program and works to achieve the program’s goals.
  • Documents outcomes/progress/recommendations from the training event and communicates these outcomes with participant, his/her supervisor, and Operational Competency team.
  • Facilitates introductory and intermediate technical training topics as directed.
  • Provides mentoring opportunities to operators through ride-along events.
  • Maintains qualifications needed to access Hess production and midstream locations.
  • Facilitates and documents competency assessments.
  • Responsible for the accurate recording of training events.
  • Plan and prepare materials, work space, and participants for training event.
  • Assists the Competency Technician in developing training support materials, assessments, and reports.

  • 5+ years Oil & Gas in a Midstream Operations role preferred.
  • Associates degree in a technical field preferred but not required.
  • Experience in multiple roles within a midstream setting helpful.
